Well, Where to start?
Firstly, Hello and Thank You for taking time to read this blog!
I have big hopes for the future of the blog and the things it may be able to achieve!
My Name is Russ, and I will be your host for this Blogging experience. On occasions, it may be a bumpy ride, though I hope you will find it worthwhile!
In brief, my wife Dora became seriously ill, shortly after we were married.
The illness was eventually diagnosed as 'Heart Failure' (Cardiomyopathy)
Throughout the following 4 years (up to present day), various medications and treatments have been tried.
The most recent of these have involved Heart surgery!
About a year ago Dora received a Pacemaker device (ICD).
Currently, Dora has an Artificial Heart Pump (LVAD) and is waiting to go onto the waiting list for a Heart Transplant!
It is the Harefield Hospital that has been treating Dora for nearly a year now.
I hope that through this blog and its aims, I can repay them, in some small way.
In addition to contributing to the hospital, I have also chosen, some other related charities
The Cardiomyopathy Association
The British Heart Foundation
Additionally to these charities I wish to include the following Cancer charities, in memory of my mother, who lost her battle with Cancer in March 2008
Cancer Research UK
Macmillan Cancer Support
Thank you for reading thus far!
I have kept these details brief, as I do not want to make the front page too heavy! For more detail on the reasons behind Charityness click here

I hope you will enjoy the rest of this blog, it is intended to be light hearted (no pun intended) and fun! Please keep these thoughts in mind should you choose to contribute any ideas
Sincerest Thanks, in advance!!
Russ

About This Site
The ultimate goal for this site is to raise lots of money for charity!
By completing 10 Outrageous challenges suggested by you, I hope to do that!
I am relying on your generosity and imagination, to help me do so.
No preaching!
No guilt!
I have chosen charities that are important to me for various reasons (read post So, what's the reason for doing this?)
If you can afford to give and decide to do so, that would be GREAT!
If you can not that is fine! I still welcome your input in creating the 10 specially outrageous challenges.
Many Thanks
